I was to a place that was called The Book Club. It was an establishment that offered books for sale and rent. I was looking forward to it because of the reputation its name had given me about its rich collection of literature works.
Unfortunately, when I arrived, my excitement waned immediately. The establishment looked run-down; the walls were peeling pnt was evident, and the carpeting felt dirty beneath my feet. To add on this bad experience, there wasn't a single person behind the counter. I wted for a few minutes but no one appeared.
The interior of the building was dimly lit and seemed to lack proper organization which further made me feel that it was poorly managed. The books were haphazardly placed in the shelves semblance of categories, making it hard for a reader to find what they're looking for.
The smell of old books was overpowering as I tried to navigate through the stacks. The scent didn't appeal to me and started making me feel nauseous.
In summary, despite its promising name, The Book Club fled to meet my expectations in terms of appearance, organization, service, and ambiance. Overall, it left a disappointing impression on me.
